The contest rules for Detected’s daily drop. Free to play, no purchase necessary.
Last updated 8 October 2026
Detected is a free game of skill run by Detected. No purchase, payment, stake or deposit is needed to play or to receive a reward, and none will ever be asked for. Practice rounds are free, unlimited, unpaid and need no sign-in.
Paid drops are open to one account per person, signed in with a mobile phone number that passes our checks. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live if that is higher.
Rewards are stock tokens that may not be offered to, held by or delivered to people in certain places. Paid drops are closed to anyone connecting from, or with a phone number from, any of these:
- United States and US persons
- Canada
- United Kingdom
- Switzerland
- United Arab Emirates
and to investors in these sanctioned or prohibited jurisdictions, as listed by the token issuer:
- Belarus
- Cuba
- Iran
- Myanmar
- North Korea
- Russia
- South Sudan
- Sudan
- Syria
- Ukraine
- Venezuela
The issuer’s list can change; the version at docs.robinhood.com/rhj/restricted-jurisdictions applies. We ask for your country of residence once. If you are blocked, you can still play practice rounds.
Each day runs from 00:00 to 24:00 Europe/Riga time. Each day has a set of about 200 pairs. In every pair, one picture is a real photo and one was made by an AI model, showing the same kind of scene. Every pair belongs to one company: both pictures show something from that company’s world, and the AI picture was made with that company’s own model. Nvidia’s pairs show the hardware AI runs on, and their AI pictures come from every other model. Every pair is approved by a person before it can appear in a drop.
You get one paid drop per day: 10 pairs drawn at random from that day’s set, with the sides shuffled. A drop belongs to the day it started in. Rounds you have not started can be resumed until 24:00; the drop ends at round 10 or at 24:00, whichever comes first.
A round counts your answer if it reaches our server within 7 seconds of the moment the round started (6 seconds on the ring plus 1 second for the answer to travel). A late answer, or no answer, is a miss. The server’s clock decides.
A catch is a correct pick of the AI side. A drop passes with 7 or more catches out of 10. Only a passing drop pays. Your eye score:
| Catches | Eye score |
|---|---|
| 10 | 20/20 |
| 9 | 20/25 |
| 8 | 20/30 |
| 7 | 20/40 |
| 6 | 20/50 |
| 5 | 20/60 |
| 4 | 20/70 |
| 3 or fewer | 20/100 |
Right after a drop you see your eye score, whether you passed, the amounts and how many fakes of each maker you caught. Which side was AI in each round, and which model made it, unlocks after 00:00 Riga time, when that day’s set retires.
In a passing drop, every AI you caught pays 3 US cents of its maker’s stock token:
- Gemini and other Google models: GOOGL
- ChatGPT and other OpenAI models, and Microsoft’s own: MSFT
- Meta AI models, Muse Spark included: META
- Amazon Nova and other Amazon models: AMZN
- Adobe Firefly: ADBE
- Qwen, Wan and other Alibaba models: BABA
- Every other model, Grok included: NVDA, or any of the 50 stock tokens on the makers page that you choose in the app
A perfect drop (10 of 10) adds 10 US cents, and the seventh passing drop in a row adds 25 US cents; both are paid in the token you chose for every other model (NVDA unless you changed it). A streak counts consecutive Riga days with a passing drop and starts again after the bonus.
Caps: one paid drop per player per day; at most 40 US cents plus the streak bonus per player per day; at most 75 US cents in any single transfer.
Amounts are set in US cents and converted to token amounts at the price used when the payout is made. Stock tokens track a share price. They are not shares, and their value can go down as well as up.
Each day has a payout budget, set at 00:00 Riga time. When the day’s budget is used up, drops still score and streaks still count, and payouts restart at midnight Riga. Rewards are finite and can run out; if they do, payouts resume when rewards are available again. Payouts owed are never dropped: they wait in the queue.
When a passing drop ends, we add up the catches by token and send one transfer per token to your payout address on Robinhood Chain: the wallet created for you at sign-in, or a wallet you linked. You never sign anything to receive a payout.
A payout can wait in the queue, and the app says why: the payout key needs gas, a token is temporarily out of stock, or the token’s issuer has paused it. Robinhood Chain screens addresses; if your address is screened, the transfer can’t be made and the payout is held.
Every payout is recorded with its transaction, which you can open from the app.
To keep the game fair, a payout is held for review, not paid automatically, if: your median answer time is under 700 ms; several accounts are used on one device; several accounts sign in from one IP address within an hour, where that address isn’t a mobile carrier’s; your number later fails our line-type check; or one payout address is shared by several players.
We may refuse or withhold rewards obtained through automation, multiple accounts, tampering with the app or the network, or any other abuse, and may close accounts involved.
Rewards are Robinhood stock tokens: tokenised debt securities issued by Robinhood Assets (Jersey) Limited that give economic exposure to an underlying share. They are not shares and do not necessarily provide shareholder rights. They may be paused by their issuer.
Read the issuer’s documents before you hold or move them: the Base Prospectus and Final Terms at robinhood.com/eu/en/legal/rhj, and the key information document for each token where the issuer provides one. Nothing Detected says is investment advice.
Rewards may be taxable where you live. You are responsible for any tax on what you receive. Detected does not give tax advice.
Apple and Google are not sponsors of this contest and are not involved in it in any way.
We may change these rules for future days; changes never apply to a drop already started. Questions go to @trydetected on X.
